This was the cheapest entertainment stand I could find that would hold my 50 inch wide screen. It was a good deal, but you get what you pay for. Two of the largest pieces came cracked. One of them even had a small piece missing that I had to wood glue back on. The cracks aren't noticeable and didn't impede on assembly. It was very easy to assemble. I am a 24 year old female and I am not very strong, but I was able to put it together by myself without much hassle at all. When everything was all said and done, the finished piece looks great! It is a very nice piece of furniture. BUT one of the doors would not stay closed because the magnet latch was too far away. I had to unscrew the magnet and screw it back in closer to the front of the door in order to make the magnet latch catch to the metal piece on the door. This was slightly annoying but I was able to get it just right after about 10 minutes.

There were more parts given than there were assembly needs which made us question if we were doing something wrong based on the instructions.[...]The edges line up ok, but it still looks like we assembled the furniture.Overall, this product has done it's job for holding our 52" LCD TV. It looks nice and doors allow us to hide our DVD's and video gaming equipment.[...]

This piece of furniture works perfectly with a 50" LCD or Plasma TV and the center shelf has plenty of room for a larger center channel speaker. It looks great and has the appearance of solid furniture, but underneath it's still your basic flat pack self assembled. The box is very heavy and hence so is the assembled furniture. I carried it in to the house and assembled it by myself but I'd recommend having a second person (weighs 100+ pounds). The assembly seems pretty simple until you have to contend with the horrible cam and peg system that most self assemble furniture uses. I broke at least 5 of the cams and cursed at it a few times. However, they did sent me more cams for free. It is pretty solid when assembled although the back legs will break off if you try to push it back with your gear on top. I'd put it in place then load it up. The cabinet doors don't seem to close smoothly at first, but just close them for a few days and they seem to work more smoothly as they break in. I'd try that before any modification with a hammer...there is no adjustment on the hinges. All in all it is a very attractive and affordable piece of furniture that serves its purpose. However, if you swore never to buy another particle board piece home assembled furniture in your life you may want to stay away. This is a step above [...] but many steps below fine furniture.
