We use this Pub Set all the time. It's in our sun room...Our entire family finds ourselves using that room more now that the table set is in there. My children [9yrs and 12yrs old] LOVE IT! And they enjoy spending time using it as much as us adults do. As well as it's a hit with all who visit. We all find ourselves using that room more often...

I love the table ring at the bottom of the table where one can rest their feet so they don't dangle while sitting so high up on the stools. The stools have a great metal protector over the front rung of the stool so your feet can rest without damaging the wood there when assisting yourself up onto the chair. And the tabletop itself is very pretty...But the table isn't as distressed as I first assumed. And where it is sanded...you don't see bare wood. But some sort of red paint. But it's barely sanded so it almost gives you a hint your seeing worn paint and cherry finish through it if you glance at it. But it is definately a red paint under the sanded areas. But the table is so charming...and the sanded areas so slight...that it doesn't take away from this set.

The "Furniture Care" has me worried...it states DO NOT place in direct sunlight. [No where when purchasing did I see that warning] My sun room is built over a ravine. So it's shaded some...so I hope that will help it some. It also mentions that water left over a prolonged time will leave white spots. So I wasn't sure about "RINGS" from glasses so I placed a thick clear plastic over the top. And marked it so it and trimmed so it only covers the top surface and doesn't hang over the side of the tabletop, so it can't be pulled off when the children are climbing up to use it as easily. It does mention you can use a lint-free cloth that has been dampened in a solution of mild detergent and warm water. So maybe the precautions I took with the clear plastic wasn't needed. But with children...I feel it best to protect the top none the less. It's such a pretty tabletop design...
It also mentions not to place this near any heating or air conditioning outlets. Which also isn't mentioned when one goes to purchase it.

I love this pub set...it screams CHARACTER! And I feel that the cons do not out weight the actual look of this set. And hope I didn't discourage you in any way. Just wish I had been aware of the "Furniture Care" before it arrived is all.

Also my husband found a few legs hard to attach due to paint being on the screws...Once together it did not effect the actual sturdiness of the chair. But allowed it to remain tight and sturdy.

But ALL my friends love this Pub Set...I actually canceled another pub set and ordered this one. Due to my finding this and loving it that much more. And was extremely pleased with my decission to cancel the "all cherry" pub set.
