The 52 headboard and 32 footboard are comprised of mesh-like strips fabricated into a basket-weave design set into a square-tube frame. The Iron finish is a metallic, medium-grey powder-coat paint color reminiscent of raw metal and machinery. My high school-age son was thrilled to see his new headboard arrive. It is contemporary and young without being childish. It finished the room and looks a lot better than far more expensive beds. Everything needed comes with the headboard making it a real value. While it is not "fine" furniture, any purchaser will be pleasantly surprised by its quality.
